Hello Fabulous captains!

I spoke with Jana Shumway about the flip flop ban at the Conference Center, and explained that since our dance is barefoot, we had encouraged our kids to wear flip flops so they could easily leave them under their chairs when we go up onstage. The point has been debated among all the higher-ups, and it was agreed that all of the groups who are doing barefoot dances can wear flip flops to these rehearsals. We might not have a chance to return to our seats, so we are asking all the leaders to bring a grocery sack to collect the kids' shoes and other belongings, though they're not supposed to bring anything else. Leaders will be sitting as endcaps on each row of youth, so the bags you bring will contain the shoes of the kids in your row. There will be sixteen youth in each row and two adults.

If you haven't called your youth yet, please remind them to meet up for rides at 4:30, eat an enormous lunch, bring a sack dinner to eat in the car or parking garage afterward (depending on your personal car eating rules), and wear slip-on shoes or flip flops.

We will meet outside of door 12 at 5:30 and stand in our starting position for the hula in order to organize our seating in the Conference Center. If you are facing the stage, our group will be sitting on the second (terrace) level on the far left. We are Section 13. We will have the Mia Maids sit at the top, then the Laurels, then Beehives, then all the Young Men.

Thank you so much!
